"Just more than 3 years ago we spent a holiday In T.R.N.C. and decided to look at property with a view to possibly moving to N. Cyprus in the future. We were shown several Villas in various areas by a very helpful and professional lady named Aysha Giornazi. Who listened very carfully to are requirments, shortly after we were shown several good properties. We fell in love with a Villa high above the village of Catalkoy, we knew that this was THE ONE. We then left a holding deposit on the property and when we arrived back in the UK transferred the full deposit. We sold our UK property very quickly and within 3 months had moved to T.R.N.C. 3 years on, due to family problems, we decided that we should move back to the UK. We put the Villa up for sale with a total of 7 agents, over the next couple of months we had some viewers, but no offers. Strangely, we had a phonecall from Aysha Giornazi who had since moved on and become the Director of Dimensions Estates in Kyrenia. Aysha always loved our property and asked if she might take the sale on, we agreed. In a very short time the Agent came with a couple who wished to view, they were very interested, and viewed for a second time within a matter of days. They made an offer which we accepted and within 2 weeks the deal was done, the funds in our U.K. Bank and all taxes and legalities finalised. We must say that the entire process was handled in a very Professional and friendly manner by both "Dimensions Estates" and the Lawyer used by the buyer, a stress-free sale ! First, they looked at Spain and spent four years learning Spanish but with the introduction of the Euro the prices were becoming too high. So where to next? Turning to the internet they searched and found North Cyprus. The attraction was not only the journey time to the UK, but also affordable living and both the warmth and sunshine. Therefore, a holiday was booked, two weeks in June 2008, to have a look, meet the people, and see what was on offer. However, it was only after they had booked their holiday that Amber discovered she had a cousin already living in North Cyprus, in Kar?iyaka, so even more of a reason to visit! After the holiday they were even more determined to move as they loved North Cyprus, the relaxed people with the genuine smiles and the weather, so in August 2008 they sold their house in Wales and in October 2008 they returned to rent a property until they found the right home. This did not take too long, as one day they walked past the window of Dimension Estates and spotted a house that they liked. After popping into the office, they were taken to view the property in the hills above Çatalköy. It was love at first sight and they instantly put an offer in. Everything went smoothly and 4 weeks after arriving they moved in! Aysha Giornazi at Dimensions Estates still telephones to check that they are fine and it was with her help that everything has been straight forward, from dealing with the house purchase to residency permits. So what do they do with their time? Amber is a keen knitter, while John plays darts for the Soho Lounge team. Amber has also discovered a new hobby, photography, and is often out taking pictures of the local flora and fauna, and they are both looking forward to starting Turkish lessons. However, best of all they both like to potter, which done correctly can take up a whole day! Obviously, both John and Amber miss their children (2 daughters and a son) and their grandchildren (9 of them with twins due to arrive in August this year). Other than them John misses "real beer", while Amber hankers after a good roast beef joint! Nevertheless, weighing up the difference, they would continue to give up the beef and the beer to remain in North Cyprus. So, would they change anything, absolutely not. This is what they had dreamt about, time to discover new interests, time to spend together and time to potter! They are indeed happy that they have made the move.
Having enjoyed several years holidaying in Northern Cyprus we decided this was the place we wanted to spend our twilight years! After a failed attempt at buying an off plan villa our hopes were fading and we had started to believe we would never make our dream move. After picking up a Dimensions Estates brochure in a local restaurant, we were impressed with a completed villa the brochure featured in Catalkoy. Eager to find out more we visited the Dimensions Estates office in Karaoglanoglu. Our spirits were raised as soon as we stepped into their modern, fresh office. The company director Aysha immediately made us feel welcome; she spent time explaining all the features of the Villa before taking us to the site. Nothing was too much trouble and after negotiating on our behalf with the developer we agreed that this was the property for us! Everything that followed went smoothly and we have just returned to the UK after spending a few weeks in our new home. Retirement now can't come soon enough! After first looking at Property in South Cyprus, a chance internet search drew our attention to Northern Cyprus, impressed by the reasonable property prices we booked a 2 week holiday with the intention of doing some serious house hunting! With a large family to cater for this turned out to be a hard task! Several days were spent trailing round various agencies and viewing villas that all turned out to be unsuitable. We had almost given up hope and our holiday was drawing to a close when we spotted a large family home for sale in a brochure. After phoning and making an appointment we visited the Dimensions Estates office in Karaoglanoglu and were introduced to the Company Director Aysha. After taking the time to find out exactly what it was we were looking for we were shown several properties, we all fell in love with a beautiful villa in Lapta and were disappointed that it wasn't quite big enough, but with Aysha acting as go between with the builder a larger plot was found and changes to the original plans were made and we were soon signing on the dotted line! The whole buying process went smoothly and was surprisingly stress free! Upon returning to the UK Aysha and her staff kept us up to date with the building process and sent us regular pictures of our villa being transformed from a dusty piece of land to our very own dream home. We are now settled into Northern Cyprus life but still pop into the Dimensions office to pick Aysha's brains and ask advice!
